Multimedia Lesson: SMARTBoard presentation in which students will create a Facebook page for an Enlightenment or Scientific Revolutionary thinker. (Technology)
Choice Lesson: The students will create timelines for the English colonies leading up to the American Revolution and complete a graphic organizer on the causes and effects of it. (Powerpoint: Technology)
Direct Instruction Lesson: One-fourth of the class will receive popcorn while the remainder will not. The popcorn represents the wealth of the French nobility in the eighteenth century and the instructor represents King Louis XVI.

Cooperative Learning: The students will create posters in groups of one of the four Latin American revolutionary leaders and present them to the class. (Technology: Research)
Concept Lesson: The class will list the main characteristics of the Industrial Revolution and regroup them to make connections with cause and effect. The purpose is to reinforce the key terms and developments during this time to provide insight as to how the Industrial Revolution affected the other major revolutions that followed, such as the French and American.
